Refractories How to better serve the aluminum smelting industry

Sillimanite Brick, High Alumina Brick, Fireclay Brick
Composed of mullite and sillimanite, the bricks are processed by sintering under high temperature, with features of strong strength, abrasion residence, low Fe2O3 content and strong carbon deposition resistance, available for middle and upper parts off furnace stack.
With the development of aluminum industry, aluminum alloy melting furnace and holding furnace refractory material from the combination of high-alumina phosphate refractory brick to the direction of development of low-cement castable. This new material gradually replaced the traditional phosphate-bonded brick and low cement castable.
In order to prevent the infiltration of liquid aluminum into the refractory, often use anti-wetting agent to increase the liquid aluminum and refractory material between the wetting angle, while extending the refractories life at high temperatures. For aluminum and aluminum alloy melting furnace and holding furnace refractory heating surface, the low-cement castable has replaced the phosphate-bonded high alumina brick. The reasons are as follows: in the low cement castable structure, there is a smaller pore size, liquid aluminum and aluminum alloy is more difficult to penetrate into the refractory, refractory oxide can be avoided by Ladle Permeable Brick aluminum reduction, while low cement castable Has excellent wear resistance. In recent years, low cement castable due to the use of liquid aluminum as an additive to increase the wetting angle, so its performance has improved.
